Sometime in November 2021, two people who met on a Yesfam meetup thought about the crazy idea of organizing a big ski trip. That became the first ski trip hosted in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. 55 random strangers from 17 countries arrived and spent an unforgettable week boarding, partying, and connecting. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
Theme runs are a ski trip tradition! One day, the whole group meets on the slope and rides down in themed costumes—underwear, bananas, minions, or whatever crazy ideas the group comes up with during pre-trip hype. It's one of a kind!

Anyone 18+ from anywhere in the world. Sign-up opens October 4th, 2025 at 13:00 CEST. The raffle takes place on October 11th, 2025 at 13:00 CEST.
We have 48 spots. The first 20 are first-come, first-served (FCFS) based on form submission time. The remaining 28 spots are drawn by a random raffle from everyone who signs up during the one-week window (timing within this window does not matter). If fewer than 28 enter, everyone gets a spot. A waiting list opens afterwards for any cancellations.
Use the sign-up form link on the page. Submit only once; duplicates are removed. You can edit your submission info via the link in the confirmation email; edits do not affect FCFS timestamps or raffle odds.
No. After the initial 20 FCFS spots, selection is completely random. There are no preferences for newcomers, drivers, couples, or past participants.
The first 20 FCFS participants will be notified ASAP. The raffle draw happens on October 11 at 13:00 CEST. Selected people are contacted via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. You must confirm with a simple reply within 72 hours and pay the deposit within 14 days, or we redraw the spot.
Fairness and flexibility. We consistently get more sign-ups than spots, and FCFS disadvantages people who cannot be online at the exact launch time due to work, travel, or time zones. The raffle gives everyone a fair, stress-free chance to participate.
The ski trip takes place from January 10th to January 17th, 2026, in Saas-Fee & Saas-Grund, Switzerland.
Fill out the sign-up form. Once the organizers confirm your spot, transfer the deposit (€100) to the bank account provided. Once payment is received, you get a confirmation and are added to the WhatsApp group.

Yes. We prepare a cooking and cleaning schedule. You will be assigned to cook on one day, and clean on a separate day. They will never be scheduled on the same day.
Cooking groups meet between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM to prepare dinner with loud music and good vibes. The group eats together and is responsible for kitchen cleanup. A dishwasher is available on-site.
Cleaning groups handle small tidy-up tasks like mopping floors, vacuuming communal spaces, checking public toilets/showers, and tidying general rooms to keep the chalet looking nice.
Cleaning groups have a dedicated group leader to coordinate tasks. Cooking groups are led by experienced trip veterans who provide recipes and instructions on-site.
Travel is self-arranged, but we coordinate shared car rides in our WhatsApp group. For flights, the closest airports are Geneva, Lyon, or Zurich, followed by a bus or train to Visp and then to Saas-Grund. The train stops at Visp, where you switch to a direct bus.
We rent the entire Gruppenhaus Granit chalet in Saas-Grund. It features 22 bedrooms (all with in-room sinks): 16 double rooms, 5 triple rooms, and one 5-bed room. Room allocation runs on a first-come, first-served basis on arrival, though we consider preferences submitted via the registration form.
Yes, breakfast, lunch bag ingredients, and dinner are included. Meals are prepared in cooking groups. We do not cook lunch on-site since most people are on the slopes, but the kitchen is open if you bring your own ingredients.
There is no strict schedule. You can ski with whoever you want and leave/return whenever you wish. The only group event is our yearly "Undie Run" where we all meet to ski down in underwear (or whatever you feel comfortable with!).
Skipasses are included in the package if you select a pass option (6, 5, or 4 days). Lift passes are valid on consecutive days. Ski equipment rental is not included, but we have arranged a discounted group rate at a local shop (~100 CHF/week for skis/board, boots, and poles; ~20 CHF/week for helmet).
Yes! Activities like pub quizzes, dance lessons, yoga, or stargazing are organized by the participants. Feel free to plan an activity and let the organizers know so we can coordinate a time slot.
The deposit (€100) secures your spot. In case of cancellation, we cannot refund you immediately, but once we find a replacement from the waiting list, your deposit and any final payments will be refunded in full. So far, everyone who canceled has received their money back.
These cover essential logistics: server/domain hosting, bank account fees, party accessories, security buffers, and splitting the accommodation/food costs of the organizers who invest time and risk their own money in advance (~€1,500 deposit) to make the trip happen.
Since cost items include a small safety buffer, any surplus funds at the end of the trip are either refunded to participants or donated to a local environmental charity in the Alps. In 2025 we donated 675€, in 2024 850€, and in 2023 550€ to Bergwaldprojekt.
